			<description><![CDATA[ I&#39;m about to order a new Strat body plus neck from Tommy and was thinking about a hollow Strat project.

The reason for this is that I played a couple of the newer Les Pauls which are hollowed out and I really liked what I heard.

Right now if I were in the market for a new LP I&#39;d definitely buy a hollow one over a solid one.
<br>
I wonder if the Strat version would enthrill me equally.

Fender says it&#39;s a &quot;c&quot; neck but it feels more like a soft &quot;v&quot; neck to me.

Also, the pickups sounded really distorted, were black colored and had symbols on them which makes me question whether this really was a 1965 custom shop. Does

and attach plugs to each end. The plugs are nicely plated and machined. Playing through my slide axe with P-90s I compared it to my present 20&#39; cable made

string ferrule holes on the back?  It seems like they would fill up with grain filler and clearcoat.  Should I mask these off somehow or leave them open and
just clean them out as I go along?  One thing I thought of was putting wax in them so finish materials don&#39;t stick.  My son has some wax for his

For now I just have it wired with a 3 way switch, but am contemplating installing a dpdt switch for the outer coils for both pup&#39;s in the middle position.

After I upgraded my strat I had a nice loaded pickguard that was just sitting around doing nothing.  After a few posts on CL I traded it for a nice <a target="_blank" href="http://www.waterstoneguitars.com/guit_jmas.shtml">Tele Knockoff</a> (just like the bottom pic with the white pickguard) project guitar that just needs a
little TLC.  In it&#39;s current state is sounds suprisingly good.  Once it&#39;s cleaned up and has a new nut, strings, and setup it should... ]]></description>
