Need Help With neck

I have long been planning on building a guitar from my own specs. I
ordered a chambered mahogany body(with a quilt maple top) from warmoth
and plan to order my neck from USACG because everyone on the net
says they do a better job with fretting and such. I need some
help on wood though. Ive been over forum and forum. I am going to go
with SS frets despite all the controversy. I am looking for about
medium-jumbo frets, should i go with 6105SS or 6150SS fret sizes?...

Fender 1965 Custom Shop NOS neck contour

I tried this guitar out in guitar center and the neck felt really nice but USACG doesn't know the specs of the neck. Does anyone know the exact specs? Fender says it's a "c" neck but it feels more like a soft "v" neck to me.

Also, the pickups sounded really distorted, were black colored and had symbols on them which makes me question whether this really was a 1965 custom shop. Does anyone know how guitar center authenticates used gear? It did say custom...

Any tips for masking string ferrule holes when finishing?

I scored a nice lightweight mahogany T off the web specials that I'm anxious to start finishing. For you more experienced guys, what do I do about the string ferrule holes on the back? It seems like they would fill up with grain filler and clearcoat. Should I mask these off somehow or leave them open and just clean them out as I go along? One thing I thought of was putting wax in them so finish materials don't stick. My son has some wax for his orthodontics that may do nicely....

He's been evaluating and repairing vintage instruments for about 15 years and knows what makes the good ones so valuable. He is an outstanding tech and I've enjoyed dealing with him for the past 7 years. He just happens to be an outstanding blues player as well.

Howdy guys...first post here. In the next year or so I will be finishing my PhD and I plan on buying myself a custom T-Style as a congratulations present. It looks, frankly, like it doesn't take all that much work to take a USACG neck and body, bolt'em together slap in some electronics and hardware the nstart playing...am I missing something? I am fundamentally deficient in any sort of wood-working skills but am not afraid of soldering (I've done some decent work on my tube...

rework a Fender Neck to your specs?

I was curious if you rework Fender Necks to your work specs. I have a Tele that the Fretwork wasn't great right from the start. I love the feel of the neck but a couple of the upper frets aren't right. They weren't seated properly and were subsequently filed to compensate. I understand if you don't but given the quality of your necks, it would be nice to get the original to be as good as one of your replacements.

I ordered a 2-Fholed semi-hollow body and am wondering now, after reading the BL Gate, if the Q filter will even fit in the control cavity.

Side note: Can you stain spalted maple with w/b or is it too punky?

How did the SRV neck on number one end up with an asymetrical contour? Did it? I've never read anything from his guitar techs that said it was asymetrical. I believe Renee Martinez said it was the biggest/fattest neck Fender made, but I've seen nothing from them stating the profile was asymetrical. I have seen it described as a C and also described as a D shape.

Assuming that it was an asymetrical profile, how did it come to be asymetrical. Was it made that way? Or,...

Neck Profile And Radius Advice?

Hey guys, i'm trying to decide on a neck profile, I can't find a SRV strat in my area so i'm hoping one of you could recommend a guitar with a similliar neck profile to try out. I did try out the Vintage Hot Rod 62 Strat which has a very beefy neck and I liked it, however it does have a 1.650" width at the nut, would getting a wider nut width make it harder to reach around a beefy neck?
