			<description><![CDATA[ Just wondering if anyone has any info on my new addition to the flock?  It is a 1998 (MN8xxxxx) sunburst Squier Strat made in Mexico.  It has cheapy looking Kluson style tuning pegs.  21 fret maple fretboard, vintage tremolo bridge, standard 3 pickup and controls configuration.<br>I was not aware that the Mexico plant made any Squiers after 1996. 			<description><![CDATA[ Hi All,<br><br>I just saw a picture of a Fender Esquire Re-issue in a magazine. <br><br>I have to say it sort of baffles me a bit in it's design.<br><br>For starters, what's the selector switch supposed to do? It's only got 1 single coil in the bridge.<br><br>Secondly, have you seen the saddles on that thing? It's got a thread on it. I figured it was an old Squier, but somebody had redecalled it with a Fender Telecaster decal.  So I took a gamble and bought it, figuring I might get lucky and have a Jv Tele, or I'd at least have a nice Japanese Tele at any rate JV or not.  Well I got it today, and I'm not sure what it is. I've have built three four solid body guitars but never expermented with the hollowed out strat concept.  How does this effect the sound compared to say a solid body with a 1/4&quot; maple cap over solid alder or mahogony, basswood, ..ect...?
