I am seeking a recommendation for bridge and middle pick-ups for my brother's Strat copy, which is a basswood body Saga kit (the $129 ads you see in the magazines). The neck pick-up is a Fralin Steel poled 43 gauge, I think its 5% overwound but I am unsure (I bought it from a colleague a ways back and can't recall). The guitar player holding what looked like a sunburst strat or clone 'cause I think it had only one humbucker. The Squier logo was on the headstock.

I have a 1979 Strat that has really rough allen bolts in the bridge saddles. I've tried a light sanding with metal sandpaper, but no improvement. Has anyone else run into rough edged saddle bolts? Any solutions other than replacing them?
