yes, it has just one volume pot. my git tech said that it might lack the load of a tone control.

with the 250k, it&#39;s pretty ok for me. if i chenged my mind, i&#39;d have me a pot sunk inside the cavity...

it sounded sharp through my line6 flextone (jcm800 sound), but also with my brighter tube amps (fender etc.).

height and sharpness of the resonance. The 45s are probably more forgiving than a lot of Strat pickups in terms of resistance needed, but it also has an
intensely clear and defined high end that doesn&#39;t need further accentuation. What amp do you play through? How do you EQ? ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ for me, listening to those clips, it&#39;s obvious the l45 is louder than the 200, it&#39;d be cooler if they were volume compensated to be exactly the same,
so the listener could listen to just the TONE difference, and not the output volume.

still, the l45&#39;s seem to have more midrange meat to them, just fuller overall, which i prefer, someone looking for skinnier typical true strat tones would
probably prefer the 200&#39;s ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I just ordered a set with the L-90 4H at the bridge. Becky suggested 250K pots, but I tend to go with 500K pots. I just wanted to make sure that the 500Ks
weren&#39;t too bright with this combo (well, a single 250K being the equivalent). I tried 500Ks with Keystones a while back and that was an ear piercing
experiment. I will likely go with 500K pots as well!

it is not bright, it is really balanced. it&#39;s not trebly in any way. i knew that i wanted a fatter tone at the bridge. it has more midrange than the L-490
