yes, it has just one volume pot. my git tech said that it might lack the load of a tone control.
with the 250k, it's pretty ok for me. if i chenged my mind, i'd have me a pot sunk inside the cavity...

it sounded sharp through my line6 flextone (jcm800 sound), but also with my brighter tube amps (fender etc.).

it wasn't only me who found the L45s pretty trebly on some occasions, so i went and had me changed the 500k pot to 250k which improved things quite a bit.
