I&#39;m new and I want to take the chance to thank the forum for beeing a big help for me over the last peroid of time. Many questions have been answered!!


One thing I did not figuer out:


Wiring my 86 Strat with the Q-filter in the following way.


the first tone pot (the one in the middle) should make the the tone of all three pick ups and the other one should control all three pick ups with the
Q-Filter.

<p>Regarding the LP - based on your comments - <em><strong>my</strong></em> first choice would be a pair of L-80s: nice output, very balanced with a sweet high
end IMO unsurpassed by any other humbucker available.

A L-90 set, 4H neck pickup and 8H bridge pickup, is a tad hotter with rounder high end response.

As promised here my little comment on the wiring you suggested.

It works and it sounds great!
<br>
In all Switch positions - Tone and Qfilter work!!
<br>
As you said - the Qfilter turned on - makes the Strat sound accuistic!!

In my words its a mid filter, which gives a great sound for typical StratClean POP Squeeze. Even so I have to get used to the high amount of treble, the
PICKUPS produce
