Posts: 1 Sun, Apr 6, 2008 21:59:49	Tags : None Hello all, I'm new here and hoping some you more experienced guys can answer a few of my questions. I'm planning on building my first USA custom based on the 24' scale Shagwise body. I hoped to have it routed for a Callaham vintage strat trem, with a angled P-90 in the neck, reverse angled humbucker in the bridge and 3 way toggle on the lower horn. Will USA custom do routs for this combination? Will there be an extra charge? I realise USA custom don't drill the holes for the pickguard, control plate etc, but do they drill the holes for spring claw in the trem cavity on the back of the guitar? Presuming they will rout for the Callaham trem would there be any string spacing issues as it's a short (24') scale guitar? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Shaun

If I'm thinking straight, the shorter scale helps...providing the neck's heel width is the same as a Strat. Posts: 2 Sun, Apr 6, 2008 23:10:47	Thanks Nocaster. I'm not hugely keen on swimming pool routs and wasn't totally sure if I'd opt for having a pickguard. If I ditched the idea of angling the neck could I still get the body routed for a normal neck P-90 and angled humbucker? Or are all unconventional pickup anglings not an option? Also do you know if they drill the holes for the spring claw in the trem cavity? Control rout wise I think I just opt for the normal front rout Jaguar control plate. Thanks

The angled bridge humbucker is a no-cost option. Posts: 1159 Wed, Apr 9, 2008 03:58:37 FIB Humble Man of Steel	Definitely. Its easier to not make a mistake at all than to fix one (or more). I'll never forget when I was too impatient to go out and buy a tapered reamer for the tuning peg wholes on my beautiful new birds-eye maple neck. I forced the first one in and it cracked the headstock! I was sick. I spoke to Tommy and he told me how to fix it (it was very easy and you can't even tell now). But this is the kind of thing you NEVER want to put yourself through. If you have any questions, any at all, come back here and we'll help you.
