Very NICE!!!!
Welcome to the "all-RW neck on a Strat" club That is a real classy figured Maple top on that Strat. Really beautiful!!! Congrats! Also like the F-Hole, which is funny as I never liked F-Holes on a Strat, but it really works on your guitar. Cool that you went hardtail - should sound killer! How 'bout some details spec-wise? Is that a 25" scale conversion neck? Congrats on those great USACG pieces and let us know how she sounds when she's finished. |

The neck is a 25" scale conversion
1 11/16" nut width Back Contour: The '54 Finger board radius: 7 1/4" - 9 1/2" compound Fret size 6125 Paua Abalone inlays on face and side The body is a USACG web special. Swamp ash back, quilted maple top, hardtail by default and I'm not a fan of trems, so its perfect. Knobs are Chechern burl wood from an ebay store. Got the pickguard from Guitarfetish and uses 3 toggles switches for pickup switching. May either get a Bill Lawrence L45 for the bridge or use an old Duncan Lil'59. Mid and neck pickups are Bill Lawrence L200. |

Sweet! A tone report is required once it's all put together.

The neck looks spectacular. Is the neck blank rift sawn or quarter sawn? I can't see. I've been meaning to try some 6125 frets, I hope you'll let
us know how those work out.
I'll also be interested to hear how bad those knobs, especially the first one, get in the way while you play. I've got a hardtail 3 piece alder Strat, maple neck from Tommy I'm still futzing with; I have the first hole in the pickguard filled with a shell casing, and Tele style knobs in the 2 remaining holes. Yeah, you rite I'm jealous. That natural finish in hot and sulty venues is gonna be some comfortable; plenty of places for the sweat to go. Bubbanov |
