Hi, been so busy with work that I haven't had a chance to visit. Okay, checking Ebay and came across these pickups (Ebay Auction# 370066795502) - Bill
Lawrence L-550 Soap Bar Mini-Humbuckers. The seller said they're NOS - at least 20 years old - etc., etc. Could you folks help and tell me if they are
real pickups from Bill & Becky? Thanks.

I'm no expert on the older stuff, but I'd say the signs point to it being "The Other Guy".

This guy is a dealer of the pretender, Jzchak Wajcman, which is why he talks about newer boxes, and lists Wajcman's legal disclaimer, but these pickups
were made by Bill, not Wajcman. The moral dilemma is in dealing with such a dealer!

Thanks guys. I sent a message to the seller - an innocent question. No accusations. His answer was, "these pickups were made before there was a Bill &
Becky in his original factory in Nashville" So nocaster, these are authentic pickups made by Bill himself correct? I have a friend looking for this
particular model but I couldn't provide him with any manufacturing history concerning Bill (i.e., Nashville). I only go back shortly before they moved
operations to Corona. I will. however, fill him in on the other issues concerning Wajcman & this dealer. Thanks.

My previous post stands. The pups are kosher, the dealer isn't. It's a tough call, so I'm just glad I'm not after such a set myself.

I'd prefer not to be misquoted, but I know it's a mistake.
To answer your comment, I think you misunderstand the situation. Nobody said that there was a problem buying and selling NOS pickups! Context is always everything!!
