I'm new here, so don't know if this topic has been covered. I couldn't find any references so here goes.
I'm thinking about building a t-style body (custom routs) with a strat type bridge with filtertron pickups bridge and neck. Anyone ever done or thought about this? Comments? |

I've seen Tele's with Strat bridge (hardtail and trem). I've also seen 'em with Filtertrons, too. Should be pretty cool.

Something like this:
This is a USACG double bound body with Callaham Strat bridge and 2 Bill and Becky 609s in conventional humbucker routs. Very nice. I've got a more conventional looking telly with a Retrotron in the neck on its way. |

Sorry, I should have said strat trem. I think the Bigsby just looks gaudy, but I'd still like the trem.

Ah, good ol' ezboard.
Problems like that got me into the habit years ago of copying my message before posting, just in case. Anyway, this thread is giving me the Tele bug again...

Yeah, this is probably the nicest looking Tele I've ever seen! And I usually don't care for Teles.
With the Lawrence pickups, I bet she sounds purdy! Now if the neck had a Madagascar RW board, I'd dream about her. Is that body wood flamed Alder? Also love the black binding on her! Awesome looking guitar! |

Yes, flamed alder. I tried a rosewood board Strat neck and liked this better. She's extremely quiet with the 609s. Thinking about a Glendale 3 brass saddle bridge. |
