Great looking axe! The MOP inlays look great together with the sparkly pickguard.
Gonzo, a question. That is a BL L500 bridge pickup, right? I hear these are narrower than normal humbuckers. Did you rout the pickguard for that yourself or is that a turtle pickguard (and if so, which of their routing options was apropriate for that pickup)? |

yep, it's a 500L. i ordered the pickguard from warmoth, with the bridge left uncut, and the normal 1st volume pot location deleted. so, we (the luthier and i) cut and dremeled the 500L spot, for that very reason, that it's a non-standard size. but the custom fitting, was worth the effort. |
