No, you're not missing anything.

I read the comment about chambered guitars not havkng the snap that solids do and my first thought was- that sounds like something negative, something I need to compensate for. But you're right. It is SUPPOSED to sound different! Usually at this stage I already know what a guitar is like before sending it off to be set up and have new pickups, etc. It is confusing because as it is at the moment this guitar has a very high nut and is borderline unplayable (for me anyway) so until I've had it luthierised I won't really know what it is like. Most likely I have nothing to worry about and I'll be staggered at how good it is, as usual. It has a 298TL and 200TN waiting to be put in it. R
