Sorry Waltriani, my mistake!

The diagram by Vito doesn't show how to switch from EQ-operation to standard tone.

You can use Bill's hand-drawn diagram from above for that.

>"The drawing shows a resistor and capacitor wired to 2 lugs of the pot. Whats the difference, if any?"

Good that you bring that up, there's a difference between the circuits. The EQ wiring on Vito's sheet is different from Bill's with the push-pull pot. However, the circuits will have almost the same effect in practice.

When the wiper of the pot is close to the left side, the Q-filter coil is in series with the RC combination. In the wiring without the switch, the pot resistance is in parallel to the RC network, but since 250k is much more than 10 or 25k, the difference will be negligible.

On the other hand, when the wiper is close to the right side, a small part of the pot resistance is in parallel to the RC network. Now, there's really a difference between the circuits, but since the whole thing is decoupled from the pickups by the 250k pot, it doesn't matter. Again, there's no practical difference between the circuits.

In short, you can use Bill's diagram without worries. :)
Let the thunder roll and the lightning flash, I'm doing alright for country trash.
