The maple neck will help you quite a bit in escaping "Gibson Prison" with the tone, so to speak.

I would think an L-609N in the neck would get you enough single-coil type voicing. Especially with a q-filter option.

I have the Neanderthal version of the L-609, the L-490N, in a mahogany neck and body/maple cap Carvin bolt kit. It can get that "spank" that I love so much with single coils. I would think the Homo Sapiens equivalent, the L-609, would get you there.

It should pair incredibly well with the L-610. I have the L-495L in the same guitar and it sounds great clean also. And I actually prefer the sound for the heavier stuff. Sure, I have to crank the amp gain a couple of notches higher than an L-500XL. but it is worth it.

Do you have to have a middle pick up?? If so, maybe a departure to L-609L, L-200M and L-200N may be in the cards. H-S-S is extremely aesthetic, to my eyes.
