Yeah, I've seen some on eBay that go for 4-5 hundred but they're all over 1975 or just beat to death. On the GuitarBase Gear Mall there was one that has had peghead repair done on it and he still wanted $475 (I think it was), close anyway. I want an early model, from what I understand they are considerably different, (electronics mostly I believe.) On eBay you'll see a natural maple finished body w/rosewood fretboard and they try to tell you how rare it is. Well yeah, it's rare all right because I don't believe Gibson ever made them that way, at least that I've been able to find. I suppose it's possible there may have been custom orders but more than likely it's been stripped and refinished natural.

I have been patiently waiting for things to settle with Bill Lawrence so I could possibly get advice on whether he thought it would be possible to wire a hard maple Strat body to get something like an L-6s sound. In the mean time I'm just kinda checking prices out.

Anyway, I appreciate everyones input, thanks.
