Thanks. That cleared things up for me. I imagine the L610's might at least appear to have a softer attack. (Incorrect assumption deleted here). The more I learn, the more I am intrigued.

I'd be jonesing bigtime for an L610 if I didn't already have a good sounding GFS P90 in the neck of my XV-585. Instead, I'm jonesing for a warm and balanced neck L90 version that would not overpower the GFS Dream 180 in the bridge of my 335-type guitar. Since PAF's tend to be about 4.4H, would the 2.8H, or 4H L90 sound more PAF-like?

Sorry again to carry on about this stuff in your thread, but it actually is pertinent. I thought it might be helpful to leave it in here.
