One thing I've noticed is that the continuity readings are extremely inconsistent on the 5-way CRL switches on certain parts of the housing, such as the part that is attached to the pickguard shield. This connection *should* ground the housing. The fastening screws are grounded perfectly. What I don't get is that the spring that controls he click mechanism is perfectly grounded, even though the housing is not. This is strange. Is it common practice to run a separate ground wire from a 5-way, as it is on traditional 3-way switches? There's no lug for it, so I don't know.
