From what you describe, you have a good understanding of everything. It's just a matter of wiring it correctly. It's easier than it seems. If you want to invest in the Q-tone, It will give you a sweeter mid dipped sound than the T setup I had recommended from 10-5, with a similar mid sweep feature below 5. You might then just wire the combined pos to the Q-tone as well (which would involve wiring the Q-tone components after each pot). Since the HOoP feature cancels some mids, the Q-tone might not have as much affect with the HOoP engaged. I never tried it. If for some reason you don't like it, it would be easy to remove the Q-tone components from the combined pos T knob, and use the same ~20nF cap as in the neck pos. Sorry, the inductance in the combined position is too low to produce the variable 1.6-2kHz peak I had outlined for the bridge T.
