have you tried adjusting you treble on the amp sim?

honestly,
it's the easiest thing to do.

with a pickup that has a wider range of available frequency response,
all it is doing, is showing you how crappy those amp models really are.

play the same guitar thru a REAL amp (say, the 6505) and a set of normal guitar style speakers (at least 12" drivers) and you will hear normal padding of high end from the front end of the tube amp,
some more padding from saturation of the power amp section,
some more from the size of the driver, etc, etc,etc
