Thanks guys!
Hey Mojo it looks awesome, can you post close up pics of the finishing errors you mentioned in the other post? Also how thick is the finish? BTW did you get your neck finished by them as well? Thanks

Here some closeups.. Actually I only wanted the top dyed, the sides and back should have bin natural finished (fake binding) which would have eliminated any
problems of bleed over.
That was my fault since I didn't explicitly ask for the fake binding, I just assumed it would be that way since I asked for Top Turquoise dye with Natural back finish. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thanks for the pics man.
So these imperfections are the reason you are selling the guitar? Could you please answer my question regarding the finish thickness? Thanks again |

Hard to say exactly about the finish thickness, but as I did the bridge routs and drilling it was pretty much unnoticeable. I would say the thickness of the
finish is good the tone of the wood is good and the entire combination absolutely rocks.
I already had the neck, it's a Warmoth all ebony with no finish I prefer necks which don't require a finish they seem to have a better or should I say a more open tone, not to mention the sustain. 6105 SS fret-wires, bone nut, Schaller locking machine-heads, Schaller "Hannes" bridge (killer bridge, carbon fibre), CTS pots, SD 78 model (S-Custom EVH) custom shop pickup. The frets haven't even bin leveled and dressed yet and I'm still getting a low, no buzz action of 1.8mm at the 12th to the 22nd fret across the board. Guitar is planed to get a PLEK setup in Berlin. Unfortunately I tend to be a little to perfect when it comes to my gear. |

"Unfortunately I tend to be a little to perfect when it comes to my gear."
And you should! Especially when it's expensive. I'm pretty anal about my gear myself. I would be pretty bummed out about these imperfection too. That top looks awesome otherwise! Really stunning! As I said in the other thread, please contact Tommy about these imperfections. Btw, what kind of bridge is that? |
