Talk about quick shipping; I ordered them last Wednesday, and got them today (Tuesday). I only received the diagram for a P/J set-up. Does anyone have a link or the ability to send diagrams for a P-Bass & J-Bass. Thanks, Don

Solder and isolate the red and green wire, white wire is hot connection and black+blue connects to ground (like the other guys posted earlier)

All of the diagrams I found have been for P/U's with just two wires coming out of them (such as, Seymour Duncan). I'm assuming the Lawrence P/U's are more versatile than most others. I've been trying to call Becky to see if there are any diagrams available, besides the P/J one.

Posts: 302 Sat, Jun 6, 2009 07:56:21 Bronze Member	Series/parallel/split wiring is done with Bill's 5 wire humbucker models. The 3 wire models have white as the start of the coil, black as the end, and blue for additional noise control. I wired my J-45s to a 3 way switch so I can get isolated positions. I prefer this over the two volume control setups used in the standard Jazz bass setup. Passive blending is pretty ineffective. It's better to strike a balance with pickup height adjustments than trying with knobs. There's not much to play with other than the capacitor and pot values. My general recommendation would be try the pickups in what you have and get and idea of what you would like to change. Bill and Becky also make a Q-filter for bass which some feel makes a much more useful tone control.

Works great :-) Twin pickup instruments - like the jb - can be wired like any other two pickup guitar or bass. The p-bass by the way, can be wired in parallel or in series.

Posts: 8 Sun, Jun 7, 2009 00:45:27	I'm going to order some switches to make my Jazz and Precision both have Series Parallel switching. I just finished intalling one of my P-46's into my '74 P-Bass. It sounds great. So much better than the SD Quarter Pounder it replaced. The bass is now dead silent. With P-Bass P/U's does it matter which way I orient the individual units? Does it matter which one is on the top and bottom or which way they face? Are there diagrams specifically for the Wilde bass pick-ups, other than the P/J set-up? If nothing else, they're just something I like to have. Thanks again

IMO, it's most convenient to install them with the wires downwards. A push/pull pot or a mini dpdt (on-on) switch will work equally well for series/parallel wiring. I'm sorry, but I don't think there are diagrams specifically for Wilde pickups

Posts: 9 Mon, Jun 8, 2009 05:47:38	Cool. I was worried if I might have put them in wrong. Of course it sounds so good, I wouldn't change them even if I found I'd done it wrong. I just finished putting in the J45's into my Warmoth Jazz. I pulled out what are supposedly Fender pick-ups from a Geddy Lee. It's crazy how cheesy they look (from underneath) and sound compared to the Wildes. I think I'll go ahead and order some push/pull pots for when I feel the need to do some tinkering. Thanks.
