Posts: 1928 Fri, Jul 24, 2009 10:08:27 Contrib. Gold Charter Member Wilde Tech	Hi bryan, Long plugs are for guitars and short plugs are for pedals, but you may very well swap if you like. No problem! I wouldn't use the short plugs with the recessed inputs of strats and teles, though. They'll work just fine, but it's a bit fiddly to get them out without pulling the cable. Bill says pulling the cable will do no harm, but I don't like doing it... I think George L initially got the cable idea from Bill, and they're pretty similar. I've used my BL cables every single day for the last four or five years without failure of any kind.
