Has anyone seen the actual movie? There are excerpts found on the net and youtube, but I was not able to find any place that would sell that on a DVD, so that I could get it delivered. Haven't read it myself, though I do have high respect of the man (did you see the German 1980 live show that just came out officially as DVD... great stuff! Used to have it as a bootleg. No particular reason why, but I haven't gotten too deep into his playing. He's a great player, though, and gives me another excuse to pick up my Telecaster. I learned Sharp Dressed Man, including his slide solo for my cover band. That one is not much song and a lot of soloing. Two 32-bar solos! Not that I'm complaining. --Garrett--

As for the live show DVD from 1980 - I am in the market for it, as it was released as a double with a 2008 show. Just have to visit a record shop sometime and get it. But the gearhead "thang" ... looking for ways to get it, contacted the agency "sanctuarygroup" - no reply yet.
