Dunno why I never posted this before, but we've done lots of threads in the past about guitars and amps but never so much on pedals. Nocaster asking me about pedals has kind of sparked this off as well, I'm always curious what other people use and why. And seeing as I'm the pedalmaster I get to go first.

Come on guys! At least let us know what you have, and if you've got time, see if you can beat (or at least match) my pathetic attempt at visual presentation. Can't be hard for some of you to link to a pic of your Boss GT processor.

Hi.
![]() Signal chain: MXR Phase 45 (retro-fit with LED and TB) > Self-made TB "Stompbox-Tuner" > Wah (from a Roger Mayer Wah Kit) > ProCo Rat > Okko Diablo > Self-made Solo Boost (= the guts of an old Turbo Rat) & TB F/X Loop. In that Loop: Boss CE-2, DD3, RV3). I often switch the MXR Phase with a Voodoolab Microvibe and a Jacques Meistersinger for the Boos CE-2, depending on the flavor of the week. Usually, I also have a tiny lamp attached which illuminates the board like a miniature street lamp. Frustratingly, I get more "cool!"-comments about the stupid lamp than anything else on the board. kind regards, steven. (Edited for more recent picture. Description changed accordingly) |

The green one is an Ibanez ST-9 Super Tube Screamer. It's a TS-9 with an active midboost, which seems silly but actually works very well. |

I'll get a pic up if I get a digital camera for Christmas.
But if you want to use your imaginations. Here's my setup for now... I have this board: ![]() Bottom row pedals (R-L): Right now I'm using a modified Vox V847 wah, but I sometimes us a Morley Bad Horsie. ![]() Then... ![]() Then the footswitch for my Valvetech amp... Then... ![]() Top row (R-L): ![]() And finally... ![]() Disclaimer: My board is always subject to change. Man, this would've been A LOT easier if I only had that digicam. |

Okay, I don't really have a pedal board. I have a Mesa V-Twin...
![]() ...in front of a Fender Blues DeVille 410. In the loop of the Fender, I have this unit: ![]() A Yamaha DG-Stomp which I use for chorus, delay, tremolo, compression, additional reverb, and as a tuner. I don't use the amp modelling section right now. The Fender footswitch concludes the setup. There's plenty deutschmarks here to earn, and german tarts are wunderschn.

EEK!
I'm a latecomer to the thread. Sorry to have been absent, especially after having been addressed by name. The pedalboard situation is alway in flux. I'll try to get something up here soon. What? Stop whining at me. Go bite your brother. ![]() |

Captain Excess, reporting for duty.
I have 2 pedalboards. Both were made at home with scrap lumber, painted flat black from a hardware-store spray can, and decked with 2 stripes of Heavy-Duty 2" wide Velcro from Wal-Mart. I use this one with the Cybertwin: ![]() I found I was never using my distortion pedals with the Cybertwin as long as I had the amp footswitch. I use the tuner on board the CT, although it is not my favorite. This simple rig has a passive volume pedal, the four-way for the CyberTwin, and a Yamaha MagicStomp multi-effects unit. I am determined to become proficient at using a volume pedal. Most of the time I get frustrated by my own clumsiness, jam the fool thing all way forward, and go back to using the volume control on my guitar. I want to learn the volume pedal not only for what sound effects it can facilitate, but also because it can help me eventually use Gibson-style 2v2T guitars as well. I'm just dying to attach something silly to that big expanse of velcro across the middle. With any other amp I use a larger rig: ![]() Boss tuner > Ibanez TS5 w/Keeley mod > Ibanez TS7 stock > another MagicStomp > Danelectro Wasabi distortion&echo combination pedal. I bought the Wasabi for $40 out of the used bin at a local store. The Distortion would have been useable (but not great) if it weren't for one silly thing in the design of this pedal. There is one 'level' control which determines the output of BOTH sides of the pedal simultaneously. There was no one position for this control that would allow me to use both effects. If I had the echo at my desired level the dirty side was crazy loud. It just didnt' make sense. I only use the pedal for slapback. All other delays, regens and sweeps I get from the MagicStomp. I removed the stomp button from the right side of the Wasabi so I couldn't turn on the nasty distortion side accidentally. I don't really need the Wasabi on there. The echoes in the MagicStomp are better, really, but it is a bit quicker to use the Wasabi and not have to move from my 'home' patch on the Yamaha. A Visual Sound One-Space power supply juices four of the pedals with its daisy-chain lead, while the MagicStomp requires the propreitary 15V supply. With either unit I plug my powered Hot Spot monitor into the AC power strip attached to the pedal board. I design ways to wreck things. I'm an anarchitect. ![]() |

I can't do pics since my pedalboard is at the rehearsal studio. My signal chain looks like this, though:
bass > Boss TU-2 tuner > Maxon FL301 flanger > E-H BassBalls > Arion Bass Distortion > Maxon Fire Blade DE-F1 digital delay > Boss RC-20 Loop Station > amp |
