Do you have stock pickups or customs? |

Do you have the stock pickups in your guitar(s) or have you replaced them with customs (ie. Duncan, DiMarzio, EMG, etc.)

I can't put an adequate vote as most of my guitars are stock, but one has had the pups replaced. In all cases but one, I've found a tone pot upgrade to suffice to let the pups work. With my Yamaha Pacifica 112XC, the stock pups were very bad indeed, so they got tossed in favour of a pair of DiMarzio Virtual Vintage 2.1 in neck and middle with a PAF Pro in the bridge. That axe is a tone monster now and went from being my least favourite to a serious contender that I really enjoy playing.

As "Stock Fender" is an option, I guess we're talking Fender guitars

But my Pacifica never had stock Fender pups.

My Nashville Tele sports Bill Lawrence L-280 pups. Seems odd that BL's weren't on of the choices.

Polls only get 5 choices, so you're squarely in the Other Custom camp.

I have about a dozen sets of Keystones. I will swap the Keystones into some existing factory guitars, then use the takeouts differently in another guitar or in
a home assembled (USACG) guitar. The other portion of the home assembled T and S type Partscasters will get Keystones or maybe Fralins, even G + L Alnico Vs,
and there's a bunch of Seymour Duncans also.
I often have more than one example of a particular guitar, and I like 'sperimentin'. Bubbanov |
