Here's my contribution to the family album, my newly finished Custom Strat with a USACG 25" conversion maple neck and incredible Bill Lawrence L-450s.

Orycterope: Nice Strat.
beefhaus: That's the first Wolfpack (and US-4 tiltback hs) I've seen. It looks very good as it is, IMO. It's looks quite classy as is. I certainly wouldnt want to cover up that nice piece of wood. IMO, midnight blue would cheapen it. |

Beefhaus, Could you get any closeup shots of the head stock? I would like to see how straight the string pull is on those necks. You can kind of see it in the shot you have, but some more detail would be cool.
I agree with Nocaster, I wouldn't cover up that wood. Thanks, Jon |

The wolfpack is an awesome body. And the contours they put on it make it great to play.
That's not a tilt-back headstock. It's a regular with the US4 shape. I've had some bad experience with tilt backs and dont think they help the tone all that much, so I didnt get it. I'll put up a pic if ya still want it. Thanks for the compliments on the finish, I was debating to refin in a midnight blue stain,cuz I thought the guiatr look a little too "homemade." But the finish actually grew on me and everyone tells me it looks great the way it is. |

Blue is one of those colours that can make or break an axe. Blue is one of my favourite colours, but there are lots of blue axes that look so cheap. > 'I thought the guiatr look a little too "homemade."' I'd call it "Custom Shop". IMO, leave well alone and move on. |

my project | #29 | ||

This is a USCG ash tele body and a CIJ 50s tele neck.
The seafoam green came from Reranch.com and I'm using SK Guitar Specialties pickups. This was my first project - more to come.

That tele's a beauty. I've really come to love the seafoam green color, and I may consider doing one in the future.
Nice work!!! |

Thanks!
It looks backwards to me too. Lefy variety is usually so poor that it's pretty damn exciting to put together something you never see. I used the Kisekae(sp?) site to pick out the color and details. |

WOW! Great job. I like that A LOT! It looks so cool as a bound flat top! How does it sound? Are those Jaguar pickups in there?

Thanks i really love it myself...
It has the arm contour with the binding so it kinda makes it really neat... Its a swamp ash body it sounds really clear..notes seem a bit more defined with it and yes they are one SD and two MIA Jaguar pickups. -Mike www.matera.net |
