Im telling you guys straight:
I have to read all your posts.
If youre having a bad day, it affects my day.
If you feel you have to consistently vent your opposition to the way this forum is run, either in an open or veiled manner, I strongly suggest you stop participating here.
This forum is for helping people with USACG projects.
Whenever threads are on broader topics, they invariably get nasty, and Im sick of it.
Ive thought about setting up a general builders forum, but I dont have the time to market it, and there are other such forums out there.
The USA Custom-Gate is just one forum within the F.I.B., so Im already stretched, and it is not the only manufacturers forum here.
Both manufacturers forums require endless attention, and I take my role very seriously.
I dont claim to know everything. But, I do have a much broader knowledge than most people.
My objective is to help people on this board. And, as far as the USACG Custom-Gate, my objective is to help people realise the best possible projects for their subjectivities.
I dont have the time to provide essays attempting to cover all the ground, most of which is not directly relevant to building a USA Custom Guitar.
On the whole, people are impatient and want answers sooner rather than later.
Many of your are not posting every day or every couple of days, and quite frankly, the forum is not sitting their just waiting for some of you to compose your masterpiece.
I post to help people, and I challenge any of you to show otherwise.
But, as I said, my objective is to help people realise the best possible USA Custom Guitar for their subjectivities.
Frankly, I dont have the time or the inclination to care about whether my answers cover all the ground for other suppliers/makers construction offerings.
All I have time to care about is whether my answers are sufficient to help customers and prospects make informed decisions about building the best possible USA Custom Guitar for their subjectivities.
When I offered to establish this forum for Tommy, I though it would be good for USACG, their customers and prospects, and good for the F.I.B. and its members, to deliver a much better forum than USACG had at the time, and also place it within the context of a Fender board.
And, apart from the increasingly regular hostilities, I think it has worked out well for all parties.
While I know Tommy is happy for off-topic threads, the rules of the F.I.B. apply, and theyre handily posted at the top of every forum, so theres no excuse.
I expect far better conduct on our forums than on other boards. Ive posted at least a hundred thousand posts on various forums, and I know how things can get, and what is seemingly acceptable on most boards is not acceptable here.
Posting on this forum is a privilege! Warmoth does not have such a facility. But maybe thats a smart move on their behalf?
