The below link features our very own Vito playing clean and overdriven licks for comparison between the two different 2.4H neck pickups installed in his '93 Les Paul Classic. These versions of the L-450 (now the L-600) and the L-490 (now the L-609) are two of Bill's more single-coil-like humbuckers, but they still have significant differences.
Vito says: "I played them into a 1977 Fender Vibro-Champ (silverface) with no effects. I used a Shure Beta 57 microphone, a Digidesign MBox interface for Protools LE software. From 0:00 - 0:29 you will hear the L-450GN24 and from 0:30 - 1:01 it's the L490GN24."
