OK, I think I've got it figured out except for the neck wood.
Mahogany thinline, minimal matte oil finish, with the center block notched between the neck and bridge to the depth of a P-90 route to connect the two cavities (will hopefully lower the resonant frequency) and allow the top to do it's thing. Jason Lollar tortoise Charlie Christian/P-90 pickups, gotoh narrow abr-1 improved tuneamatic, B5 bigsby with the arm-stop removed so it can be palmed, Joe Barden tele control plate with the vol control relocated away from the switch, Callaham small parts, electrosocket, 25" scale neck with 6105s, USACG compound taper, gotoh klusons, stewmac slipstone nut (bone-colored lubricated delrin).
I'm thinking maple/ pau ferro but goncalo alves/pf sounds interesting-no finish required and would look cool. Anyone actually tried one? How does the tone, stability, etc. compare to maple??
