I have a Strat in "Antigua", serial number S916xxx. It seems to be all original, but there are a couple of things I wasn't sure of. On the underside of the pickguard there are two white stickers about 1 1/2" long with the Fender Logo and 'Serial Number' and the serial number of the guitar. Inside the body in the front pickup inletting, is a round yellow sticker with FP and the number 2-2 underneath the letters. In the neck socket there is a stamped 'Gonzalez'; two circular stamps with the letters 'FRR' and one with the number 32, the other with the number 40. There is a penciled 9B or probably 89, depending on the orientation from which you view it.
There is another penciled mark which could be a mistake
or something like initials or a monogram. On the back of
the neck there is a white rectangular sticker with a series
of lines numbered 1-7. 1 and 2 contain the names D.
Osborn and D. Hattula (?) in red ink. Line 3 has J. Mora
in balck ink. Line 4 is blank. Line 5 has R. Hernandez
upside down. Line 6 has E. Solis and N. Leon. N Leon
is upside down. Line 7 has R. Gove. All stamps except
1 and 2 are in black ink.
On the heel of the neck there is a blue or green stamp which is somewhat distorted The first digit is either a ), the
letter D, or possibly the number 1 with a smudge after it. The second number is 8 or 9. The third is either 0, D, or 8. The
fourth is 0. The fifth is either P or 8. The rest are 0293. The
tuning machines, tremolo bridge, "Micro-Adjust" neck assembly all seem to be original.
Any information you could give would be appreciated.
