The Fingerstyle Forum is using a different skin, which I also like, from which I have taken only the background image and applied it here, which is why this
forum looks similar.

> "Maybe the old color scheme was a bit dark and gloomy for us country music people."
The former skin is called "Blues Party", which I actually thought quite appropriate. > "I am fine with beige." I have resisted what I see as the traditional/natural colour scheme for Fender - though I am more attracted to cream and brown tolex than tweed or black, and the beige and oxblood grille cloths than silver. A sunburst scheme might also be interesting to try. I haven't got the time to start from scratch, so from the available skins, I think it really comes down to this or the old one, or the one the Fingerstyle Forum uses.

I like it better than the blue.

I like it...it's easier on the eyes. It's at least better than the older blue one, in my opinion.

I must say I haven't noticed any change in font size either...on any of the three computers I regularly use.
*Sometimes* the font in the reply window is a bit small but not to the point that it's bothering me. Oddly enough, this doesn't happen in Quick reply. |

The only drawback is for those times when I want to check out the board at work instead of at home. I do loads of work in SAP. Our company has that program set up with the default blue-based color scheme. Having the FIB open in a half window with SAP in the background was oh so convenient! Blended right in. I believe you can set up your browser to force your own colour scheme on websites, so maybe that's something worth looking into for your work computer,
because, so far at least, most folks seem to favour the new look, and I'm sort of 50/50 right now.

It's looking good! A pleasant surprise to see after being away for a little bit.

Okay, I've decided I quite like it, so unless there are any major objections, I'm going to leave it as it is. If at least three members lodge
significant objections over the next week, I'll set-up a poll and we'll have a vote. But my reading of the posts in this thread suggests that
most people prefer the new look.

I like it.
I like it very much. It is way better than the blue as this brings to me the feeling of "comfortable home". You know the color, late afternoon or evening in the period of Indian summer, quite moment in grandma' s house, the smell of fresh cake still in the air a little form the afternoon. Yesteryear pictures with similar sephia tones. You just do not want anyone to come in and interrupt the moment. this how it feels to me, I love it. And yeah I also like the "Fleur de Lis" icons that appear in the forums. |

That's one of the things on my list to change.

I haven't figured out why those appear yet.
At first I thought they signified new posts but that wasn't it since I had read all the threads already. What are they? |

They ARE signifiers of new threads/posts.
Maybe you need to manually mark forums as read?

...Btw, I note this is a phenomenon that I experience when using Internet Explorer but not Firefox.
