I ordered 2 L-45s and a L-48 last week. Was told a 4 week wait. Hope these sound good for the long wait. Will the L38 tele neck be a dual rails pickup to match
the L48?

I got mine in... They are very clean pickups. A little bright but man they are quacking machines.

I've ordered one, but may not install it since it is going into a 5 string mandolin, and I was hoping for more of a Humbucker sound to replace the Dimarzio pro-track. oh well, -vince |

It's a strat sounding pickup with some humbucker tendencies. It's not all that bad.
I had a lil59 which is seymourduncan's best minibucker in the series. And its a lot less hot than it. |

They do deliver a less attenuated treble response than most pickups, so you will want to turn down your treble control on your amp to preference. It all
depends how you set your amp... for example, Bill's playing here with exactly the same pickups that became the final models.

Eh not sure I wanted to hear that they are bright. Was one of the reasons I was ordering the L-48 for my tele bridge as most tele bridge singles or little
humbuckers sound thin and usually too bright. Only pickup in the tele bridge slot I have ever felt completely satisfied with is the Hot Rails. I guess my
dreams of a warmer version of that pickup will never happen.
I'm a little disappointed the L45s are lower in output than even a lil59. Yikes... |

Well the lil59 is a little hot.
When I say bright... Its more like Clear. Its a good kind of bright. The brightness sounds great with the tone knob down some... Its that perfect kind of bright that is dialable with the tone knob... It responds well. |

Hope it's not bright as a L-250 Tele bridge pickup. I have one in a tele and it's kind of ice picky but clear. Wish someone made a clear articulate and
thick bridge tele pickup.
