What's up guys!?!
I just purchased a Heritage 150 Deluxe. I've always wanted a Les Paul but, through this board, discovered the Heritage line of "Les Pauls." I did my homework and it was pretty much a no-brainer. Here are some pics if you're interested
Heritage 150 Deluxe
It presently has Seymour Duncan 59s in it. Needless to say, BLs need to be in there. Normally, I know exactly what I want to get out of a guitar and which pups to do that with. This time, though, I'm really not stuck to one idea or desire. I'd love to have the classic Les Paul sound of the 50's and 60's. I have a Peavey Delta Blues amp with Weber speakers and JJ tubes. Sounds really good but it doesn't necessarily complete the "amp half" of the 50's and 60's Les Paul sound. The other guitars I have are:
Ibanez Prestige S Series with L-500 XL/R
Ibanez Prestige RGA Series with L-90 6H/4H
Ibanez Pro Series (90's?) with 200N/298M/610XL
Fender American Strat with Keystones (used to have 280 w/ 290 Bridge)
...and a couple of other guitars with a 500XL in the bridge. So I'm already covering a lot of bases.
If you were in my shoes, what would you do?? I'm generally a Rock 'n' Roll / Blues guy, for the record, but I'm always willing to try a different direction.
