She's a really brilliant musician, not merely a technically gifted bass player.
I discovered some of her video clips at YouTube when one of my pupils, a girl who also plays the bass, expressed her frustration over the lack of well-known good female bass players. |

Tal's pretty impressive, regardless of age or gender.
Fuzzy, is your pupil familiar with Me'Shell Ndgéocello? She's considered by many to be among the best bassists, if not the best, living. I'd recommend her if some "adult material" is acceptable. She does soul/funk/r&b/hip hop oriented material and sings at the same time, so she's a pretty amazing live performer. |
