I took the advice of nocaster and fuzzy and got a rhythm 550 to go along with the 550 lead for the bridge.

I am planning on putting these in a Reverend Club King that currently has 2 P90s in it. I know the pots are 250Ks.

500k pots - with good help from a low cap cable - will be closest, but neither pot options will give you treble response in the ballpark of the L-560 rhythm pickup. The L-550's frequency range is too different.

By "low cap" cable I mean a cable with low internal capacitance, e.g Bill's solder-less guitar cable. If you add a cap to the cable, you'll have even less highs.

Here are my options:

550 rhythm in neck- 550 lead in bridge
550 rhythm in neck- 560 lead in bridge
560 lead in neck- 550 lead in bridge (this is the one nocaster and you said might be questionable)
Which of these would you recommend?

I would choose a pair of L-550's. L-550 rhythm in neck position and lead model at the bridge.
You'll need 500K pots with regular shafts and a tone control cap. IMO 0.022uF (22 nano F) caps work well with most guitar pickups.
