I've built a few of these pedals. With all the digital stuff around these days, I had forgotten just how good some of the old pedal designs were.
BYOC's Tribooster and Large Beaver in particular, are fabulously fun pedals.
With the Tribooster, you get a clean boost, the classic E-H LPB boost and the even more classic Rangemaster clone. The Rangemaster portion actually offers standard treble boost augmented by a midrange boost or a full range boost if you like. I'd never owned any sort of Rangemaster type pedal, but with the Les Paul into a slightly dirty amp, WOW! The Large Beaver is the clone of the Big Muff Pi. I've tried a bunch of different Big Muffs over the years, and I never could understand what the fuss was all about. I absolutely love David Gilmour's playing, and I've always known he uses them, but the ones I tried never made me remotely think of Gilmour or Pink Floyd. That is, until I build my clone. Crazy! I never knew fuzz could be so useful.
