Yesterday I happened to notice a new Guitar Hero game. I am not really into the game (why spend time trying to learn how to "play" when I can
practice on a real guitar?) but for some reason I looked at the cover art and there it was.
The guitar player holding what looked like a sunburst strat or clone 'cause I think it had only one humbucker. The Squier logo was on the headstock.
Marketing ploy by Fender?

Have to correct myself here.
I didn't actually see the game itself but a picture of the artwork on a magazine. And the guitar had the regular strat pup configuration. My mistake there |

Actually the first Fender Frontline Home had a clone of the game called - Roxkband wih a strat shaped black controller with Fender logo on it.
